Steely Dan - Peg (Bootleg House Remix)

I came across an old vinyl copy of Aja at a friend's yard sale in July of 2000, and it became immediately clear that no group can evoke and embody summertime like Steely Dan.

I don't think anybody can make Peg a better song, but it's always fun to hear and old favorite in a new context.

This Track is kinda dope. Nice house beat you put over this amazing song. I've been fooling around with this song by adding B-more breaks whenever I mix this. It sounds cool but I like this.
Great Job

Glad you liked it, and thanks for downloading! This was one of the quickest remixes I ever did, and it's getting most of the attention. The beat is a modified Todd Terry loop from the mid-90s, and there's an EQ filter or two, but otherwise it's pretty straightforward. You don't have to do much to make Steely Dan sound cool.

Impressive remix. Any chance of getting a copy of it for personal use? I'm putting set together for a relative's coming home party from the military and this is his all time fav song. I think it would top off the evening festivities. You thoughts...

DJ FlipStylz: Thanks, man. The above MP3 is the only copy I have left of this track. It was made back in 2000, so I don't think I even have the WAV anymore. It was never pressed to vinyl. Just download the MP3 and burn it to an audio disc, I guess. Cheers!
